Choosing the right car FM transmitter of your vehicle can be a challenging prospect when you are not sure exactly what you need to help melt hours on the road and listen to your favorite music.
Let’s talk about choosing the right model for your needs and what you should demand when you invest into one of these technological marvels.
Why not place the focus on you for a change!
So you spend some time in you car and you want to listen to your iPod, iPad, computer….etc?
And you want to listen in the truest fidelity possible…am I right?
Then lets look at some features you need to equip yourself with, in order to get the best experience possible.
First off…let’s talk distance. Car transmitters are not engineered from the same blueprint, they each have the own secular abilities and one differential is broadcast distance.
Most car radio transmitters only broadcast the audio two or three feet, while others can transmit the sound 150 feet. It’s at your discretion how many feet you actually need, but you should keep this in mind. If you select one with flaccid distance, you will only be limited to in-vehicle use. So…if you choose one that can broadcast further you can then use it for different audio components like your home stereo system.
Your next concern should be the quality of sound. Some car radio adapters are engineered and constructed with the cheapest materials possible and in most cases produce hollow sound or audio that contains static. And you should not have to settle for such poor audio as much time as you spend in your vehicle.
Finally…another option which I find critical and you should consider is the flexibility. You need a car stereo transmitter that will not only work in the vehicle, but adapt to it’s surrounding and work in your home, garage and backyard.
It should have the ability to transmit any audio source from a microphone to a laptop. If you invest in one without flexibility, you will wind up buying another to fill the gap left by your first investment.
Here’s what I can tell you from personal experience. And why I chose the Whole House FM Transmitter. It works with any audio source….from a audio board to a laptop. You can basically plug any audio source into it and broadcast that sound to any FM radio within a 150 foot radius.
So when you think about it, you can settle some for something cheap or upgrade to something regal!
You get what you pay for…especially when shopping for Chinese built electronics.
